The wines of Saint-Émilion

The wines of Saint-Émilion are rich and varied.
They generally display a ruby colour with garnet glints.

On the nose, they are complex and dense, have lovely finesse and express notes of red berry fruit and sometimes hints of peony.
The aromas gradually develop and increase with notes of oak ageing, such as spices, toast and chocolate

On the palate, the wines have very good structure and fine, solid tannins and superb length of flavour, followed by a fruity, flavoursome finish.
Saint-Émilion wines, especially the Premiers Grands Crus Classés, have very good ageing capacity.
