In the Dordogne valley, this character residence stands in the middle of its splendid grounds, surrounded by vines that stretch as far as the eye can see on the heights of Trottevieille.
The view is unique, inviting the eye to wander beyond the horizon to contemplate the timeless charm of the village of Saint-Émilion and the steeple of the church of Pomerol standing proudly.
It is here, on this 12-hectare estate, that the vines flourish, benefiting from excellent exposure. A fine layer of reddish earth, delicately laid over the limestone rock, makes this vineyard a unique terroir, a rare Saint-Émilion chartreuse.
Beneath this harmony of vegetation lie ancient quarries, where the roots of the vines thread their way several metres underground. This fusion between the whispers of the past and the know-how of today makes Trotte-Vieille an exceptional terroir.
Each visit to the estate is personalised and consists of a tour of the estate, the vineyards, the cellars and the vat room, ending with a tasting of Château TrotteVielle, 1er Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion.
